Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapy Specialty: School-Based Therapy Duration: 35 weeks Shift: 07:00:00 - 15:45:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid state license in Occupational Therapy Certifications: Relevant certifications as required Must-Have: Experience working with middle school students Description: Working with students in both general education and self-contained settings. Responsible for an IEP caseload of 40 students and a 504 caseload of 25 students, providing consultation as needed. Approximately 40 students in grades 6 through 8, of which 17 are in self-contained classrooms. Eight students are due for their three-year re-evaluation. Students outside of self-contained programs receive therapy for approximately 20-30 minutes weekly. Students in self-contained programs receive therapy for approximately 30-60 minutes weekly. Additional consultation is provided for 10 students at five minutes per week. Some students receive consultation through their 504 plans, but do not have direct minutes. There is another occupational therapist scheduled who works part-time. One off-campus placement student requires 180 minutes of therapy monthly.
